Extra-Infos: 5th Of Lanegan's Trees Produced And Feat. Chris Cornell
Description:After releasing three albums with Greg Ginn's underground label SST, Screaming Trees broke through in 1991 with Uncle Anesthesia on major label Epic. The band, fronted by Mark Lanegan (who would go on to collaborate solo with band members of Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, Guns 'N Roses and Foo Fighters) is known for its raw psychedelic, whiskey voiced garage rock. This harder edge set the band apart from Seattle grunge contemporaries Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, gaining a loyal fanbase in the process. Uncle Anesthesia is produced by Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) and metal producer Terry Date, known for his recordings of Pantera, Prong, Overkill and White Zombie. Uncle Anesthesia is a essential addition to the Music On Vinyl catalog of Screaming Trees albums! - 5TH OF LANEGAN'S TREES PRODUCED AND FEAT. CHRIS CORNELL
Screaming Trees broke through in 1991 with 'Uncle Anesthesia', their first on a major label. The album is produced by Soundgarden front-man Chris Cornell who is also featured on several tracks. In that early nineties it was the Seattle bands that conquered the world with their own sound, the grunge. The grunge that fuses punk with heavy metal was also applied by the Trees and they also were part of the grunge invasion from Seattle together with contemporaries Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Their sound lead by the unique baritone of Mark Lanegan and melodic indie-grunge guitar distortion and some real catchy riffs is what their sound makes the Trees an outstanding band in the grunge wave.

Azmi H. - 12/Mar/2023 5 of 5 Stars!
The vocals are deep, like The Crash Test Dummies, but ventures into the higher ranges a bit more. When he does, it remeniscent of Kurt Cobain in "Dive" off Incesticide.
