Hank Mobley uses a sextet for a typically challenging set of advanced hard bop music. The most striking tune is "Thinking of home", a suite consisting of three parts. Although the album was recorded in 1970, it was a decade later that this record was finally released. This was Mobley's 26th and last recording for Blue Note. "Thinking of home" has often been called "the last worthwile album before Blue Note's artistic collapse". A fine album, not only for Mobley fans.
