Stanley Turrentineâ??s 1964 recording Mr. Natural featured the soulful tenor saxophonist and Blue Note stalwart at the helm of a cutting-edge modern jazz group with Lee Morgan on trumpet, McCoy Tyner on piano, Bob Cranshaw on bass, Elvin Jones on drums, and Ray Barretto on congas for three songs. This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket. -

Recorded on September 4, 1964. Originally issued in 1980 as Blue Note LT-1075. 24bit 192kHz latest remastering. Reissue of 2012 remaster [r8300653] under [l66004] series. This release has exactly the same booklet, rear cover, and insert. TOCJ-50295 - On booklet, Japanese language insert, and back cover UCCU-8152 - On OBI LT-1075 and UCCU-8152 - On CD. Released in standard jewel case with black insert without "compact disc" logo, despite rear cover being two-sided. Four page insert includes 2012 liner notes in English and Japanese. A fold out insert includes the original 1980 LP liner notes in English backed by a Japanese translation. As per the original LP release, the catalogue number is absent from the front cover of this reissue.
