LA PELLEA Quartet Records soundtrack release of Piero Piccioni?s film score for the 1974 mondo documentary "IL DIO SOTTO LA PELLE" directed by Folco Quilici, Carlo Alberto Pinelli, and Bruno Modugno.
Orchestrated and conducted by the composer himself, the score features contributions by [a100317], the choir of Alessandro Alessandroni, [a322565], and three songs performed by [a1120241].
Previously released in the 90s on the Easy Tempo label in LP and CD formats and later in 2020 by Sonor Records in an expanded double LP edition, this Quartet Records CD release is the most complete edition to date, with 125 minutes worth of music, including all the music recorded by composer Piero Piccioni for the film as well as the instrumental only tracks for the songs.
Mastered by Claudio Fuiano from original stereo session tapes, with additional restoration by Chris Malone, the album includes a full color booklet featuring liner notes by film music journalist Marco Ferretti and an exclusive interview with Catherine Howe.
