Lo Moon halten geschickt die Balance zwischen ausgedehnten Klanglandschaften und eloquenter Songkunst. Das Quartett aus Los nutzt auf "A Modern Life" die Musik, um jedem Tag einen Sinn zu geben. Wenn auch nur fÃ¼r einen Augenblick, beruhigt Musik die RÃ¼ckkopplungsschleife der Routine, verschafft eine Atempause und bietet eine Perspektive. Im Jahr 2016 wurde Lo Moon mit dem Titel "Loveless" zum Fan- und Kritikerliebling. Es ebnete den Weg fÃ¼r ihr 2018 erschienenes, selbstbetiteltes Album Lo Moon, das von NPR als "schimmernd, eindringlich und jenseitig" gelobt wurde. Ebenso intim wie hymnisch. Neben dem Beifall von The New York Times, NPR, Los Angeles Times, The Sunday Times, NME, Noisey und anderen, wurden sie von Billboard unter die "10 Rock & Alternative Artists to Watch" gewÃ¤hlt. Mit Ã¼ber 50 Millionen Streams trat die Band an der Seite von The War On Drugs, Glass Animals, Phoenix und Air auf und zierte die Plakate von Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, SXSW, All Points East und vielen mehr. Nach einer Tour mit CHVRCHES gingen die Musiker mit dem Produzenten Yves Rothman (Yves Tumor, Miya Folick) ins Studio, um das nÃ¤chste Werk aufzunehmen. Ihr alter Freund Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie), der ihr DebÃ¼t mitproduzierte, stieÃ? schlieÃ?lich zu ihnen, um A Modern Life den letzten Schliff zu geben. -

2022 release. Music is the universal language for a group of people who all come from vastly different corners of the earth. Lead singer Matt Lowell is from Long Island, Crisanta Baker (guitar, bass, keys) from Denver, Sam Stewart (guitar) from London and Sterling Laws (drums) from Seattle; Los Angeles was their eventual meeting place. It was Lowell who instigated Lo Moon before it even had a name. His mantra -if you like -for all the material was their first release "Loveless," a track he had been working on for years. Released in 2018, their self-titled debut album -a dark, luscious collection of songs full of crescendo rock and sparkling electronics -spanned the breadth of human highs and lows. The record could sit happily among the likes of Talk Talk, Roxy Music, early Coldplay, and the cinematic scope of Sigur Ros. They returned to the studio in 2019 and finally return with Modern Life.
