Zorn und Laswell sind Freunde und musikalische WeggefÃ¤hrten, seit sie sich 1978 zum ersten Mal begegneten, und sie sind fÃ¼r einige der intensivsten und denkwÃ¼rdigsten Musiken des spÃ¤ten 20. und frÃ¼hen 21. Jahrhunderts verantwortlich. Aufgenommen Anfang 2021, kurz vor Ende des Pandemie-Lockdowns, war es das erste Mal, dass Zorn seit Ã¼ber fÃ¼nfzehn Monaten das Saxophon in die Hand nahm. Laswell hatte die meiste Zeit des Jahres in seiner Wohnung eingeschlossen verbracht. An diesem Tag geschah etwas Besonderes, und nach der Session fÃ¼hlte sich Laswell verjÃ¼ngt, als hÃ¤tten alle Gifte und Toxine seinen KÃ¶rper verlassen. The Cleansing ist ein historisches Treffen und das erste aufgenommene Duo-Projekt dieser beiden Downtown Magier. -
