 | Description: | Honeyglaze are excited to announce their Dan Carey-produced, self-titled debut album will be released on 29th April 2022 via Speedy Wunderground.
The South London based, haiku-loving trio formed just before the first lockdown, and a combination of compelling live performances (including Green Man and support slots with Wet Leg, Geese and The Lounge Society) plus two standalone singles ('Burglar' and 'Creative Jealousy') has seen their profile rise rapidly and garner support from a plethora of early fans including Steve Lamacq, Matt Wilkinson and Wet Leg â?? who have all declared themselves in love with their intoxicating brand of poetic lyrics and impressive musicianship.
A significant step-up from their previous routine of writing, rehearsing and recording in Yuriâ??s bedroom, in the company of Carey and his team, Honeyglaze were introduced to an entirely new universe- one filled with a â??Swarmatronâ??, long-sweaty afternoons in window-less analogue, and total, creative freedom; and so itâ??s with such visceral experiment, collaborative trust, plus, the addition of a couple of â??new-tracksâ?, that Honeyglaze developed into the body of work we see today. In all it took two monthsâ?? of rehearsals, and all but three daysâ?? worth of studio time to finish and record live, the eleven tracks that would come to not only be Honeyglazeâ??s debut album, and, the sophomore full-length on Speedy Wunderground, but also the trioâ??s first â??realâ? offering to date.
A self-described â??opposite to a concept albumâ? that sonically encapsulates the who, what, where and how of their individual circumstances coming together as one, Honeyglaze is a meticulously transformative feat of which, in their own eyes, is a â??quite accurateâ? sonic encapsulation of who the trio believe to be. This is storytelling at its most soulful, and Honeyglaze presents human-instinct in a manner that accepts all of the insecurities that come from their present adolescence, whilst acknowledging the formative maturity thatâ??s earned when we allow ourselves to embrace the unknown, of our futures ahead.
â??If someone is going to find you special â?? then you want to show whatâ??s most special about yourselfâ? notes Curtis. â??Then you can do what you want from there.â? - | | Manufacturer No.: |
