Description:
Throughout the years, Manilla Road have become quite well-known for their concept albums but
»Open the Gates« was only partly a concept album. It was mostly geared to the King Arthur legend.
Open the Gates was originally released in 1985. -
7th pressing: HRR 228LP7, ltd 500, 250 x black + 250 x purple/ bone splatter vinyl, 425gsm heavy cardboard cover, 4 page insert, A5 photo
Open the Gates is full of beautiful instrumentation, elaborate song structures, and thought-provoking yet fantastical lyrics. The vocalist's voice might take some getting used to, being very high and almost nasal.
