| | Description: | KO KO MO is an explosive French musical duo; two stage animals: Warren Mouton (guitar - vocals) and Kevin Grosmolard (drums - backing vocals), who make Beep-Beep and Coyote seem like bedridden invalids. Always at the top of their game in following the footsteps of their 70's heroes (Led Zeppelin, The Who, T-Rex), they subtly transcend their influences and offer us their undeniably current ??classic rock?? or ??full-power indie pop??. Warren combines his recurrent androgynous vocals with a guitar play which is never stingy in riffs and solos, while Kevin breaks the mold with a sense of showmanship and a fury worthy of the greatest thumpers in the history of rock
Since late 2014 and the release of their first EP "Stole My Soul", the band has been touring France, alternating between clubs (as La Cigale, Le Fil, SMAC07, Le Silex, Krakatoa, CAMJI, Stereolux, The VIP, La Maroquinerie etc.) and festivals (as Les Trans Musicales, Solidays, Poupet, Art Sonic, MaMa etc.). After the release of their first two full-albums, ??Technicolor Life? (2107) and ??Lemon Twins? (2019), this ??2-head Hydra spitting crazy, powerful and energetic music?? also played a lot outside their country, with shows in The Netherlands (Eurosonic), Italy, Portugal and Spain. They have also toured in Australia and Asia (Japan, South Korea, China and Indonesia). Especially after the huge online/digital success with their covers ??Personal Jesus? (Depeche Mode) and ??Last Night A DJ Saved My Life? (Indeep) their touring-schedule went beyond craziness (with now already more than 350 shows to their credit)!
This new album ??Need Some Mo??? operates with a fresh crunch of riffs, synonymous with ??a back to the very roots of rock into a modern KO KO MO mutation??! Through unbridled sonic (electro) beats and hectic rhythms, Warren and Kevin display a rare and breathtaking fieriness. Their ingenious compositions prove that in 2022 ??classic rock?? can still be revolutionarily modern, with a lot of energetic youth, enthusiasm and libido.
