DC Collard was born and lived in Malaysia in 1960s and became a multi-instrumentalist to avoid boredom in UK Boarding Schools. In 1970s, DC was the keyboardist for Gardez Darkx & Subway Sect before forming JoBoxers & writing the chart-topping song, Boxerbeat, which went on to sell over half million records in UK alone. In 1980s he joined The The & was Musical Director for Lisa Stansfield. During the 1990s and 2000s DC was a session musician playing Billy Ocean, Rita Coolidge, Stephen Stills, Celine Dion, Linda Perry, Peter Cetera, Alison Moyet & Jewel to name a few. 2018 saw The Theâ??s Comeback Special Tour and Collardâ??s solo recording, DC Collard On A Mission wass released later in â??22. The The: DC joined the band in 1989 & to date is a current member. Dusk is his favourite album, with a soft spot for the Hank Williams project that Matt Johnson & DC arranged together called Hanky Panky. Collard produced Out of the Blues for Rita Coolidge and The Warrior for Walela, which won Song of the Year at the Native American Music Awards. JoBoxers UK tour June/July â??22 â?? 8 shows including â??Sign of The Timesâ? & â??Letâ??s Rockâ? festivals. First live performances since 1985.
