Description: | Perfil, is the new album by Dulce Pontes and itâ??s the beginning of a new era in the artist's discography,
with a return to her roots, the artists and stories that inspire her.
Perfil features Amapola, a traditional song from the 1920s by José MarÃa Lacalle GarcÃa, performed for
the first time, entirely in Portuguese, with a stunning adaptation by Dulce Pontes.
Soledad was written by CecÃlia Meireles and originally sung by the iconic Fado singer Amália Rodrigues,
but never before recorded in studio. Na LÃngua Das Canções written by Tiago Torres da Silva, shows the
creative glory of Dulce Pontes and her voice, Valsa Da Libertação is the only collaboration in the album
with Fado artist Ricardo Ribeiro, written by Pedro Homem de Mello and arranged by Ricardo Ribeiro
himself. The album also includes Porque, a beautiful poem by Sophia de Mello Breyner
Andresen, Retrato with lyrics by Maria Mamede, written and dedicated to Dulce Pontes and Dulce
Caravela, written and composed by the artist herself, as an ode to the sea, filled with lyrics about longing

This album showcases Pontes' extraordinary vocal range and her unique ability to blend traditional fado with contemporary influences, creating an emotional journey through Portuguese music.
