Recorded at Town Hall, New York, New York on October 12, 1962. First Japanese issue of this title, part of an eight title series of Charles Mingus reissue to honour his centenary. In jewel case with obi. Eight page booklet features liner notes in English. An additional eight page booklet features a translation in Japanese. A single-sided UHQCD insert is also included. The cover art retains the original international catalogue number. "This CD features the complete historic 1962 Town Hall Concert by Charles Mingus originally recorded for United Artists Records. It has been digitally remixed from the original three-track tapes. [#1] original two-track mix was used. [#2, 6, 9, 11] previously issued in edited form. The aka titles are the ones used on the original United Artists LP release. [#3, 5, 8, 10, 12] previously unissued." Total time: 68:32
