Prince Daddy & The Hyena ist ihr drittes Studioalbum und das erste auf Pure Noise Records. Das Album beschÃ¤ftigt sich mit dem Thema des Lebens, das zu Ende geht, sowohl mit dem eigenen Leben von SÃ¤nger Kory Gregory als auch mit der Angst vor dem Altern und Sterben seiner Freunde und Liebsten. Gregory erklÃ¤rt, warum: "Es ist das erste Mal, dass es mich als Erwachsener getroffen hat, das erste Mal, dass mich die VergÃ¤nglichkeit von allem getroffen hat, und das hat mich in eine kleine existenzielle Spirale geschickt." Prince Daddy and the Hyena wurde 2014 gegrÃ¼ndet, als Kory Gregory, Alex Ziembiec und Zakariya Houacine inspiriert wurden, eine Band zu grÃ¼nden, nachdem sie Rozwell Kid live gesehen hatten. Laut Gregory war Rozwell Kid ein wesentlicher Einfluss auf einen GroÃ?teil seines frÃ¼hen Songwritings. Prince Daddy & The Hyena begannen 2015 mit der VerÃ¶ffentlichung eines Extended Play mit dem Titel Adult Summers. SpÃ¤ter verÃ¶ffentlichten sie ihr erstes Album mit dem Titel I Thought You Didn't Even Like Leaving im Jahr 2016 auf Broken World Media. It dives into the theme of life coming to an end, both vocalist Kory Gregory's own life and fear of his friends and loved ones aging and dying. Gregory expands on why by saying, "It's the first time that it's hit me as an adult, the first time that the impermanence of everything struck, and that sent me into a little existential spiral."
