Dutch Masters features a rich variety of compositions for two pianos and piano four hands from the 20th and 21st century. From the Dutch composers Louis Andriessen, Leo Smit, Willem Pijper, Jan Wisse, Theo Loevendie, Hans Henkemans and Joey Roukens. Including two works composed especially for the two brothers: Together from Theo Loevendie and Concerto for 2 Pianos In Unison from Joey Roukens.
In Unison was recorded with Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and their young conductor Karina Canellakis. The compositions of Jan Wisse, Theo Loevendie, Hans Henkemans and Joey Roukens are World Premiere Recordings. - NETHERLANDS RADIO P.O./CANELLAKIS / AKL 22Lucas Jussen / Arthur Jussen - "Dutch Masters" - Pianists Lucas & Arthur Jussen have announced their upcoming new studio album Dutch Masters. The album will be released on DG & is dedicated to Dutch composers. "Everyone knows Bach, Mozart or Beethoven, but we also have plenty of lesser-known composers from our home country who have created a lot of beautiful compositions", they say. The album is an ode to the Dutch composers, but also to pianist & teacher Ton Hartsuiker, who introduced them to Dutch modern music when they were still children.Recorded:
