"De-loused In The Comatorium" is the groundbreaking debut album by progressive rock band The Mars Volta, now available in a high-quality LP format from CLOUD HILLS. This record is celebrated for its explosive fusion of prog-rock, jazz, and Latin influences, telling the conceptual story of Cerpin Taxt?s journey through a surreal coma. With tracks like "Inertiatic ESP" and "Televators," the album has become an iconic release that redefined modern progressive music upon its original 2003 release. The Mars Volta?founded by Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala after their time with At the Drive-In?are renowned for their virtuosic musicianship and boundary-pushing soundscapes. Their work on this album earned critical acclaim worldwide, cementing them as one of the most innovative acts in contemporary rock. CLOUD HILLS is known for meticulous vinyl pressings that honor both audio fidelity and artistic presentation, making this edition essential for collectors.
Good music material. I listened with pleasure.
The sound of the soundtrack is excellent — the dynamic range is wide, the balance is even, the scene is wide, very good detail. The mass is quiet, clicks are not heard. The discs are colored (gold and dark green) light (140 grams), well centered, but my copies are very crooked (minus one star for this). A reversal envelope with a beautiful design. Inside is a folded poster with an enlarged cover photo. The inner envelopes made of thick paper are decorated with drawings.
In general, I recommend this album release.
