Vinyl LP pressing. Paradieswärts Düül is a 1970 psychedelic rock album by the German band Amon Düül. It was the final Amon Düül album to be recorded. In contrast to the communal, free-form improvisations of the earlier Amon Düül albums (generally thought to have all been recorded in a single "jam session" with various commune members coming and going throughout), Paradieswarts Düül was recorded with a smaller, more stable lineup of musicians. The pastoral, folk-influenced sound of the record has been compared to the gentler work of American bands Love and The Velvet Underground.
"Paradieswärts Düül" is a legendary LP by the German band Amon Düül, released under the iconic label Ohr / Cargo. This album stands as a testament to the experimental spirit of early 1970s Krautrock, blending psychedelic rock with avant-garde improvisation and folk influences. The record features hypnotic rhythms, ethereal vocals, and an organic soundscape that transports listeners into a unique musical universe. Amon Düül was one of the pioneering groups in Germany's underground scene; their innovative approach laid groundwork for countless artists within progressive and psychedelic music genres worldwide. Notable for their communal lifestyle and boundary-pushing creativity, Amon Düül achieved cult status with albums like "Phallus Dei" before releasing this more introspective work. The manufacturer Ohr is renowned for its role in promoting groundbreaking German acts during the Krautrock era?releasing seminal records from bands such as Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Tempel?and continues to be celebrated through reissues distributed by Cargo.
