That disc, released in 2011, was bolstered by the success of Perri's single "Jar of Hearts" and led the musician into nine tours over 27 months. Her final show supporting lovestrong. Took place on October 9, 2012 at Los Angeles's iconic Hollywood Bowl with Jason Mraz. Wenn man die beiden "Kinderlieder-Alben" mal ausnimmt, ist "a lighter shade of blue" das erste Album von Christina Perri seit "Head or Heart" aus dem Jahre 2014! Man kann das Album gut anhören, allerdings ist es etwas arm an Highlights. Fans von Christina greifen zu, Einsteiger starten besser mit "Lovestrong."
