"The Dawn Of Flames" est le deuxième album studio du groupe suédois de melodic death metal Gates Of Ishtar et il est désormais disponible au format CD chez le label MDD Records. Sorti à l'origine en 1997, cet opus témoigne de la capacité du groupe à fusionner riffs puissants et mélodies accrocheuses dans une ambiance sombre et intense typique du style scandinave des années 90. Des titres comme « Perpetual Dawn (The Arrival of Eternity - End My Pain) » ou « Dreamfields » illustrent parfaitement leur son unique qui a marqué toute une génération d'artistes métal extrême européens et internationaux. Fondé en 1992 à Luleå en Suède, Gates Of Ishtar s'est imposé dès son premier disque « A Bloodred Path », devenant rapidement un pilier incontournable avant sa séparation à la fin des années quatre-vingt-dix ; leur héritage perdure aujourd'hui encore auprès de nombreux groupes contemporains du genre mélodique extrême mondialement reconnus pour leur influence majeure sur la scène métal moderne actuelle !
