"This is the Show" is the third studio album from Pluralone, the project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Josh Klinghoffer. As former guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a current member of both Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder's Earthlings, alongside a lengthy resume of past contributions (Gnarls Barkely, PJ Harvey, Ataxia), Klinghoffer has been performing and recording music for most of his life. However Pluralone is the first time that he's truly showcased his many talents in one place as the sole songwriter and primary performer on every track. "This is the Show" was produced by Klinghoffer's Dot Hacker bandmate Clint Walsh who also performs on the album with appearances from Eric Gardner (Dot Hacker) and Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction). A student of history Klinghoffer channeled the thematic anxieties of modern times and the tension of the post-World War II era while interpersonal relationships are dotted throughout. Pressed on clear vinyl, limited to 500 copies.

From INSTAGRAM: Vinyl Update My friends?I?m sorry, but when the This Is The Show vinyl arrived, I caught one mistake in the design that was bothersome, but excusable considering how long it?s taken for these to arrive, but upon further inspection (which should have happened already) a typo was found. Perhaps I?ve made a rash decision, but we are delaying the release and shipping of the vinyl for these two mistakes to be fixed. My apologies. It?s a symptom of the times perhaps that everything seems to be backed up, take longer and almost miss their moments, but I cannot feel good about releasing this album I?m quite proud of with even the tiniest mistake. I was about to, but two?no. Again, there may be lessons to be learned here about perfectionism and dealing with the fact that mistakes happen and sometimes things are beyond one?s control?but in this case?they are. So it?s being fixed. For those few of you that got a copy. Hold on to them, they?ll be rare. J?
