The release of "Nothing but a Dream" already marks the second published album of newcomer project TWiNS iN FEAR for Scanner. Lena and Maria further develop their dark electropop with blinding speed, and they donâ??t shy away from trying other genres as well such as metal, Râ??nâ??B and dark wave. The result is a suprisingly diverse and varied album. This is where individual artistic talent - that is sure to stay on our minds as time goes on - shines through. "Nothing but a Dream" is about many different dreams and visions; about utopias, dystopias and even the contradictory nature of reality. The theme song expresses a certain horror in light of the state of the world. Seemingly corny relationships become nightmarish through absurdity and a lot of what seems profane is exposed as paradoxical. A groteque and sinister atmosphere dominates the entirety of the album. After a long break, Lena and Maria will finally perform again in the summer. -
