Description: | Limited edition deluxe box set, signed by the author Glenn Povey, also includes reproduction memorabilia and a CD of interviews with band recorded in 1977. "Pink Floyd - The Animals Tour - A Visual History" documents both the history of the recording of the Animals album and the supporting tours which remains one of the most fascinating periods in Pink Floyd's history. At the time of the Animals tour, the band, despite been one of the biggest bands on the planet rarely did interviews. The 50-minute CD included in this set contains very rare interviews with Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason. At one point Roger describes animals as a very "violent album". Dave not only talks about Animals, but also discusses Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and touring in general. One of the most interesting things Gilmour reveals is that he wanted "Raving and Drooling (Sheep)" to be included on Wish You Were Here instead of "the shorter songs", but he was "out voted". Nick Mason tells the full story about how the flying pig escaped and at one point was "traveling faster than an F-15", before coming to rest "in a farmers field in Kent". This CD of interviews, along with legendary Floyd historian Glenn Povey's commentary and photos, plus the reproduction memorabilia makes this limited edition box set, the perfect companion to the soon to be issued remix of Animals. This combination would make the Animals immersion set there never was.
