This special reissue features three additional tracks not included on the original album - â??I Burn For Youâ?? - the single mix of the track from the â??Brimstone and Treacleâ?? album - â??Once Upon A Daydreamâ?? and â??Shambelleâ??. To add to the unique nature of this release, and reflecting the personality of the band, four songs (â??Spirits In The Material Worldâ??, â??Rehumanize Yourselfâ??, â??One World (Not Three)â?? and â??Hungry For Youâ??) feature Stewart Copeland counting in the tracks â?? distinctive audio from the recording studio that was not included on the 1981 release. Recorded at AIR Studios, Montserrat and Le Studio, Quebec, â??Ghost In The Machineâ?? was number one on the UK album chart and a multiplatinum best seller all over the world in which the bandsâ?? jazz influences became more pronounced but still retained the sophisticated pop appeal for which the band had become known. The original release featured three hit singles - â??Every Little Thing She Does Is Magicâ??, â??Invisible Sunâ?? and â??Spirits in the Material Worldâ??. POLICE / GHOST IN THE MACHINE (2022) This stunning, limited-edition picture disc features the alternate original track-listing and sequencing and includes three tracks not included on the original album "I Burn For You," "Once Upon a Daydream" and "Shambelle." Four tracks, "Spirits In The Material World," "Rehumanize Yourself," "One World (Not Three)" and "Hungry For You," all include Stewart counting in on the tracks. Ghost In The Machine includes the hits "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," and "Invisible Sun."
Picture disc in a clear PVC sleeve (with flap) and hype sticker: "Limited Edition Picture Disc Featuring the alternate, 'original' track-listing and sequence - Includes three additional tracks - I Burn For You, Once Upon A Daydream & Shambelle" This alternate track listing was apparently genuinely considered for release (a production master was created) and the sequencing features three additional tracks: ?I Burn For You? (the single mix from the ?Brimstone and Treacle? soundtrack), ?Once Upon A Daydream? (eventually released on Side B of the 1983 single ?Synchronicity II?) and ?Shambelle? (which ended up as Side B for ?Invisible Sun? single). The songs ?Spirits In The Material World?, ?Rehumanise Yourself?, ?One World (Not Three)? and ?Hungry For You? all feature Stewart Copeland counting in the tracks. This audio does not feature on the 1981 release.
