Description:Vol. 2 is an album by Indian Creek Delta Boys, released in 2022. The album is a folk CD. -
The Indian Creek Delta Boys (Garry Harrison, Lynn "Chirps" Smith, Dan Baird, Dave Miller) were one of the most important and distinctive string bands formed during the old time revival of the 1970s. While many of the other revivalists focused on the styles and repertoires of the south, the ICDB concentrated their musical efforts on collecting, learning and performing the old time music traditions of their home region in and around Charleston, Illinois. This was the second volume of Illinois traditional tunes and songs recorded by the "Crick Delters" for Davis Unlimited in the summer of 1977. In Volume 2, The band presents pieces learned from noteworthy Midwestern fiddlers such as Bob Rogers, Harvey "Pappy" Taylor, J. J. Abbott and others.
