Description:

Steelwings play classic Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal with roots in the 1980s. Formed in 1982, they were part of the First Wave Of Swedish Heavy Metal. The band played many shows during this time and went to England in 1983 and recorded two songs, the song "Live Your Life" is also included on their compilation album "Metal Plated". Swedish Metal Aid's charity album featured Steelwings along with other Swedish heavy rock bands such as Europe, Treat and Heavy Load. The last album before their break - "Steelwings" - was released in 1989. In 2007, a new era began for Steelwings when the band was asked to perform at Markaryd's 700th anniversary celebration. In 2019, Steelwings released their comeback album "Back". The album was very well received by the fans and brought the band back to the center of the active Hard Rock scene. The current line-up consists of founding members Tommy SÃ¶derstrÃ¶m, Michael Lindman and Gert-Inge Gustafsson. -
