Carly Simons legendäres Überraschungskonzert im New Yorker Grand Central Terminal gibt es jetzt zum ersten Mal als CD, LP und Blu-ray. Im April 1995 waren Pendler, die durch Grand Central gingen, angenehm überrascht, als sie Simon und ihre Band bei einem unangekündigten Konzert in der Mitte des Haupt-Terminals entdeckten. Das Konzert - Simons erstes seit vierzehn Jahren - wurde gefilmt und auf Lifetime für ein Fernseh-Special ausgestrahlt, das später im selben Jahr auf VHS veröffentlicht wurde. Die in New York City geborene und aufgewachsene Simon ist eine mit einem Grammy ausgezeichnete Musikerin, Singer-Songwriterin und Autorin, deren Karriere sich über fünf Jahrzehnte erstreckt. In den 70er Jahren hatte Simon eine Reihe von Hit-Singles, darunter das beliebte "You're So Vain", das Platz 1 der US Charts erreichte, sowie "Anticipation", "Nobody Does It Better", "Coming Around Again", "Mockingbird" mit James Taylor und andere. Simon wurde mit einem Academy Award und einem Golden Globe Award ausgezeichnet, in die Songwriters Hall of Fame und die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen, erhielt die Ehrendoktorwürde des Berklee College of Music und wurde für einen Stern auf dem Hollywood Walk of Fame nominiert. -

Live at Grand Central-The video has been digitized and converted to HD, re-edited and the audio has been re- mixed by multi-Grammy Award winning producer and engineer, Frank Filipetti and re- mastered. In April 1995, commuters walking through Grand Central were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Simon and her band performing a full, unannounced concert in the middle of the main terminal. The concert-Simon's first in fourteen years-was filmed and aired on Lifetime for a television special which was released on VHS later that year VINYL LP
