The winner of three major international violin competitions, Maria Ioudenitch is partnered by pianist Kenny Broberg on Songbird, an album of lyrical pieces inspired by music for the human voice. â??I really gravitate towards the human singing voice,â? explains Maria, â??and find lots of inspiration for how I shape my sound â?¦ It is through singers that I learned that one held note can have many different kinds of expression, as it sits on different harmonies and transforms into the next note.â? Maria Ioudenitch was born in Russia, raised in Kansas City, and trained at Philadelphiaâ??s Curtis Institute and Bostonâ??s New England Conservatory.
