Unter der vollen Mitwirkung des ĂĽberlebenden Small Faces-Mitglieds Kenney Jones hat das beliebte Londoner Mod-Quartett seine klassischen Immediate Records-Alben als Deluxe-CDs mit Digi-Sleeve neu verpackt und von Nick Robbins, dem langjährigen Small Faces-Remastering-Ingenieur, zu Vinyl-LPs gemastert. Die Lacke wurden von Barry Grint, dem leitenden Mastering-Ingenieur der Air Studios, geschnitten.
Rob Caiger, Labelmanager von Immediate Records und Produzent der Small Faces-Neuauflagen, hat seine 20-jährige Suche nach fehlenden Bändern mit Kenney fortgesetzt, um sicherzustellen, dass die bestmöglichen Quellen für die Neuauflagen verwendet werden.
"Small Faces" (1967); "There Are But Four Small Faces" (1968); "Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake" (1968) & "Greatest Hits" werden unter den Katalognummern von Immediate Records neu aufgelegt. "The Autumn Stone" wird später im Jahr 2023 in verschiedenen Formaten erscheinen, darunter auch ein Deluxe-Boxset. Das Original-LP-Artwork wurde für die CD originalgetreu rekonfiguriert und wird zusammen mit einem 16-seitigen, vollständig illustrierten Booklet geliefert, das ausführliche Notizen zum Cover sowie Interviews aus dem Archiv und aktuelle Interviews enthält und in einer schützenden PVC-Hülle untergebracht ist. Die LPs werden auf schwarzem 180-Gramm-Vinyl und in limitierter Auflage auf farbigem Vinyl gepresst, während jede LP und CD mit einem speziell für jede CD- und LP-Edition angefertigten Small Faces/Immediate Records-Sammler-Obi-Strip geliefert wird. - .. This definitive edition has been overseen by surviving band member Kenney Jones and prior to his death, Ian McLagan and features in-depth sleeve notes by Ken Sharp with exclusive interviews with Olympic Studios engineer George Chkiantz & fellow Immediate artist PP Arnold. The 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP was cut by Matt Colton at Air Studios in London from the recently discovered original production master tape with nothing else in the signal path and the lacquer.
