Titled 'Phosphorus' is an epic return to their original thrash/death metal roots. With new members Chaq Mol, known for his intense guitar playing in Dark Funeral, A. Impaler, bass player from Death Metal all-star band Firespawn and Black Metal veterans Naglfar , drummer Chris BarkensjÃ¶ from Stockholm death metal band Lik and thrash/death metal band Witchery, Carl Westholm, known for playing keyboard with Candlemass and Avatarium playing alongside long time drummer and laterly vocalist Robban Granath and Rhythm guitarist Morgan Myhrberg, Mefisto have come up with their most varied, but most brutal, opus yet. Produced by Mike Wead of 'King Diamond/Mercyful Fate' fame, alongside Simon Johansson, 'Phosphorus' is heavier, darker, more sinister but yet more melodic than the bands previous releases. -
