Unfortunately, the wonderful quartet recording with the renowned saxophonist Gerd Dudek will be released posthumously as a CD in a three-part digipack on JazzJazz. These six pieces were only recorded shortly before Gerd Dudek's death on November 3rd, 2022 with pianist Martin Sasse, Martin Gjakonovski (bass) and Joost van Schaik (drums). The 84-year-old saxophonist has not only worked with numerous international jazz greats, but above all has developed a playful style that wonderfully combines straightforwardness and efficiency with narrative sensuality. -
