Imperception is The Rockets' seventh studio album, released in 1984, and marks a radical turning point in the group's career, as it is the first LP recorded without Christian LeBartz - replaced by the Englishman Sal Solo. For the first time the group is no longer silver and as a quartet, while maintaining the classic "shaved". it is also the last album in which Alain Groetzinger participated, Gérard L'Her, who until then had a fundamental role as bassist, singer, author of almost all the lyrics and main composer together with Alain Maratrat.

Limited edition 500 numbered copies with O-Card & 24-page booklet. Tracks 11 & 12 Live in Torino, Italy. Tracks 1-10 recorded in France, 1982/1983 at Alain Maratrat's Studio. These are the original versions for the IMPERCEPTION album and were finally released in the [r2118196] box set. In fact it is not Impercetion re-release. This CD is sourced from "Alternative Perceptions" CD of aforementioned box set. Despite [a=Sal Solo] is listed as vocalist, on tracks 1 to 8 all vocal parts are sung by [a=Gerard L'Her].
