Das in Los Angeles, Kalifornien, ansÃ¤ssige Projekt Worriers wird von der SÃ¤ngerin/Songwriterin Lauren Denitzio geleitet und hat nun ihr neues neues Album "Warm Blanket" angekÃ¼ndigt! Lauren Denitzio war schon immer die Art von Songwriterin, die genau das sagt, was ihr auf der Seele liegt. In den letzten zehn Jahren hat sie mit ihrer Band Worriers "Geschlechterbefreiung, kapitalistische Gewalt und brennenden Herzschmerz" thematisiert. Das vierte Album der Band markiert das erste Mal, dass Denitzio akzeptiert, dass die Gruppe, die sie als Band zu behandeln versucht hatte, eigentlich ein Soloprojekt ist. Nach einer rasanten Tournee- und AufnahmetÃ¤tigkeit hatte Denitzio im Sommer 2022 endlich die MÃ¶glichkeit, zu schreiben, was sie wollte. Obwohl sie schon immer ein DIY-Team waren und keine richtige Ausbildung in Sachen Audioaufnahmen hatten, haben sie das gesamte Album "Warm Blanket" zu Hause aufgenommen und gemischt. Atom Willard (Against Me!, Social Distortion) steuerte das Schlagzeug aus der Ferne bei und fÃ¼gte dem Ganzen ein orchestrales Element von Gewicht und Nachdruck hinzu. Das Ergebnis ist eine Sammlung von Songs, die zeigen, dass Denitizio "die Erwartungen, in einer Band zu sein, verinnerlicht hat" und Musik schreibt, "die mehr im Einklang mit meinen tatsÃ¤chlichen EinflÃ¼ssen steht." - RED VINYL

Over the course of the past decade with their band Worriers, they've addressed gender liberation, capitalist violence, and searing heartbreak, all over the band's signature style of triumphant chords and subtle pop sensibilities. Worriers was always a band that shined with the feelings of ecstatic potential; offering a sense of liberation amidst the chaos of the world. And yet, on their album Warm Blanket, they've never sounded more free. The band's fourth full length record has the feel of an exciting debut and there's a reason: it marks the first time that Denitzio accepted that the group they had been trying to treat as a band is actually a solo project. After a pace of touring and recording that would be breakneck for most, but de rigueur in the underground scene which forged them, Denitzio found themselves in the summer of 2022 with a chance to finally catch their breath. "I realized I could write whatever I wanted."
