 | Descripción: | 2023 release. Holocene sees the The Ocean add a new and closing chapter to their palaeontology- inspired album series, presenting a gear shift towards the electronic world while redefining heaviness at the same time. Phanerozoic II ended with a track titled "Holocene", and now it's clear that this track was pointing in the direction of things to come, both conceptually and musically. The dark, synth-driven track Holocene ends abruptly and yet connects seamlessly with where this new album begins: the haunting synth sounds of opener "Preboreal". Enter the Holocene-the latest and thus-far shortest epoch on our Earth's geological time scale in which humanity appeared on the planet. Through rapid proliferation, cultural evolution and technological development, our species has shaped and changed our planet in ways unprecedented in history. Moving into the human age, The Ocean have become more intimate and captivating musically, while creeping deeper into their own DNA with numerous references to their earlier discography which older fans will cherish., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Artwork, Layout: Martin Kvamme, Artwork, Layout: Stefan Alt, Band [The Ocean Collective On This Recording], Bass: Mattias Hägerstrand, Band [The Ocean Collective On This Recording], Drums, Vibraphone: Paul Seidel, Band [The Ocean Collective On This Recording], Guitar: David Ramis Åhfeldt, Band [The Ocean Collective On This Recording], Guitar, Vocals: Robin Staps, Band [The Ocean Collective On This Recording], Keyboards [Keys], Percussion: Peter Voigtmann, Band [The Ocean Collective On This Recording], Vocals: Loïc Rossetti, Guest, Musician [Musicians], Piano: Frieder Hepting, Guest, Musician [Musicians], Trombone: Steve Thompson (36), Guest, Musician [Musicians], Trumpet, Horn: Fritz Moshammer, Guest, Musician [Musicians], Vocals: Karin Park, Liner Notes [Quotes By]: Guy Debord, Liner Notes [Quotes By]: Raoul Vaneigem, Lyrics By [Lyrics Written By]: Robin Staps, Mixed By, Mastered By: Karl Daniel Lidén, Producer [Vocal Production By]: Christophe Edrich, Recorded By [Drums & Synths Recorded By]: Peter Voigtmann, Recorded By [Guitars, Bass, Vibraphone, Trumpets, Horns And Vocals Recorded By]: David Ramis Åhfeldt, Recorded By [Guitars, Bass, Vibraphone, Trumpets, Horns And Vocals Recorded By]: Loïc Rossetti, Recorded By [Guitars, Bass, Vibraphone, Trumpets, Horns And Vocals Recorded By]: Robin Staps, Recorded By [Trombones Recorded By]: Steve Thompson (36), Songwriter [All Tracks Written By], Arranged By [All Tracks Arranged By]: Peter Voigtmann, Songwriter [All Tracks Written By], Arranged By [All Tracks Arranged By]: Robin Staps, Labelcode PCRS215.2 (PEL 215), Phonographic Copyright (p) Pelagic Records, Copyright (c) Pelagic Records, Recorded At Die Mühle (3), Recorded At Oceanland, Manufactured By GZ Media"HOLOCENE (Edición Especial)" es el nuevo lanzamiento en formato CD del grupo alemán de metal progresivo The Ocean, conocido por sus álbumes conceptuales y su capacidad para fusionar géneros con paisajes sonoros envolventes e introspectivos que exploran temas como la evolución humana y los cambios medioambientales actuales con gran profundidad lírica y musicalidad técnica sobresaliente.
