| | Description: | La Divina: Maria Callas In All Her Roles is the most comprehensive box of Callas recordings ever released, presenting La Divina in all 74 roles for which audio documents exist. It comprises her complete studio recordings, an extensive collection of her best live recordings, the masterclasses she gave at the Juilliard School, videos, and a bonus CD of world premiere releases: alternate takes and working sessions from studio recordings of the 1960s.
A collector's centenary edition that will take its place in history, this landmark box â?? limited and numbered â?? contains 131 CDs, three Blu-ray discs and one DVD.

Among these are:
-complete recordings of Verdiâ??s operas La traviata (La Scala, 1955) and Un ballo in maschera (La Scala, 1957), and Belliniâ??s La sonnambula (La Scala on tour in Cologne, 1957);
-legendary recitals (10 CDs) recorded in concert halls all over the world;
-recordings (3 CDs) of the masterclasses that Callas gave to singing students at New Yorkâ??s Juilliard School in the early 1970s. Video material, a highlight being Act 2 of Tosca with Tito Gobbi as Scarpia (Royal Opera House, London, 1964). A bonus CD of world premiere releases; it comprises alternate takes and working sessions from recital recordings that Callas made in the studio in the 1960s.
This audio bonus sheds new light on Callasâ??s art, her way of working, her relationship with conductors and orchestras, her state of mind, and in some cases her fragility. All in all, the CD provides revealing and moving testimony of Callas as a great singer and as a woman.
