Remastert: The Solar-Myth Approach (Vol. 1 & 2) von Sun Ra and His Solar-Myth Arkestra. "The Solar-Myth Approach" ist ein Jazzalbum von Sun Ra & His Solar-Myth Arkestra. Die im Wesentlichen angeblich 1970/71 in New York City entstandenen Aufnahmen erschienen 1971 auf zwei Langspielplatten auf dem franzÃ¶sischen Label BYG Actuel. Nun wurden Volume 1 & 2 geremastert und wird neu verÃ¶ffentlicht! Stilistisch gesehen sind die Alben ein Sammelsurium von Tracks aus verschiedenen nicht dokumentierten Sessions in New York und Philadelphia in den 1960er Jahren, wÃ¤hrend einige mÃ¶glicherweise aus den spÃ¤ten 1950er Jahren stammen, als Ra und das Arkestra in Chicago ansÃ¤ssig waren. (Ra zog 1960 nach New York und 1968 nach Philadelphia, obwohl er noch jahrelang in NYC in den Variety Studios aufnahm). Es gibt keine spezifischen Sessionprotokolle fÃ¼r diese Tracks, und auf beiden Solar-Myth-LPs erscheint eine identische Personalliste. Ra war kein akribischer Kommentator seiner eigenen VerÃ¶ffentlichungen. Als kosmischer SpaÃ?vogel neigte er zu FÃ¤lschungen und mutwilliger "IrrefÃ¼hrung"; die aufgelisteten Spieler, Daten, Orte und sogar Titel sind manchmal unzuverlÃ¤ssig.
