Die Instrumental-Stoner-Psych-Band Kanaan hat mit â??Downpourâ? ein neues Album angekÃ¼ndigt. Es ist das mittlerweile fÃ¼nfte Album des norwegischen Trios! â??Downpourâ? folgt auf das 2021 erschienene Album "Earthbound", wurde gemeinsam mit Dag Erik Johansen bei Athletic Sound aufgenommen und wie das vorherige Album von Marcus Forsgren gemixt und von Christian Obermayer gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Robin Gnista. Man muss sich wirklich festhalten, um nicht aus dem Stuhl zu fallen, wenn Kanaan die Monster-Riffs in Songs wie "Orbit", "Solaris pt. 2" und nicht zuletzt "Amazon" raushauen, wo sie von einem der besten Gitarristen Norwegens, Hedvig Mollestad, unterstÃ¼tzt werden. Alle drei Mitglieder der Band (Ask Vatn StrÃ¸m, Ingvald AndrÃ© VassbÃ¸ und Eskild Myrvoll) sind seit langem Fans von Mollestad und ihrer Musik, und die Tatsache, dass sie auf ihrem Album mitspielt, ist ein wahr gewordener Traum. -

Vinyl LP pressing. Kanaan produce so much music that their fuzz pedals are hardly switched off between each practice session. Once again, the young power trio now step out of the rehearsal room, and with them in tow is the brand new album Downpour. It's not difficult to hear that this is a continuation of their last album, Earthbound. Indeed, many of the ideas on Downpour came about when they recorded their previous record in Athletic Sound in Halden, where Downpour was also recorded. The heaviest songs on the album are a continuation of the idea of "The Great riff" and the feeling of triumphant ecstasy when one good riff is replaced by another. Bands like Kyuss, MC5, Sleep and Hawkwind are still great sources of inspiration - while Needlepoint and Dungen are also important markers for the more melodic material on the album.

this is for the standard black vinyl release, it is also available in limited edition red. Recorded in Athletic Sound, except track B1 and all keyboard overdubs recorded in RCS Sudios.
