Four CD set. Les Disques du Crepuscule presents a comprehensive anthology by visionary French avant-garde composer Erik Satie, collecting together piano works associated with the Dada, Cubist and Surrealist art movements, as well as his celebrated musique d'ameublement (furniture music) written between 1917 and 1923. The four CDs are housed in a clamshell box, which also includes an illustrated 32 page booklet featuring detailed liner notes by James Nice and Stephen Whittington.
1-1 recorded at Siemens Villa, Berlin, September 1987. All music released under licence from Thamos Productions, Berlin. 4-1 to 4-5 recorded at Elder Hall, Adelaide, July 2014. Released by arrangement with Stephen Whittington. 4-6 recorded in October 2007. Released by arrangement with LTM. 4-7 to 4-29 recorded in 1994. Released by arrangement with Intermusic. 4-30 to 4-32 recorded in 2001. Released by arrangement with Richard Cameron Wolfe.
