Description:The very first time on vinyl for The March Violetsâ?? debut album! Limited edition in PURPLE vinyl with lyric sheet. From Leeds in the early 80â??s â?? label-mates of Sisters of Mercy. Constantly at the heights of the UK indie singles charts, they released LP compilations in the UK and USA. Signing to a major, they featured in the John Hughesâ?? Some Kind of Wonderful movie with two songs, but split up before an album was completed. 25 years later they reformed, touring the UK and USA, and at last completed their first album, Made Glorious, via a well over-subscribed Pledge Music campaign in 2013. Fans got access to a very limited CD and download, but sadly events conspired to stop a planned vinyl production. Here at last is the long-awaited debut album on vinyl from The March Violets! - PURPLE W/LYRIC SHEET / 1ST TIME ON VINYL / RSD 23
Double vinyl LP pressing. THE MARCH VIOLETS came from Leeds in the early 80's, label-mates of Sisters of Mercy. Constantly at the heights of the UK indie singles charts, the singles were the base for successful compilations in the UK and USA. Signing to a major, they had two songs featured in a John Hughes' movie - but split up before an album was completed. Twenty-five years later they reconvened, making tours of the UK and USA. A single and video of 'Dandelion King' was issued in 2011. Unfinished business included an album, and Made Glorious was given a release in 2013 via an over-subscribed Pledge Music campaign. Fans got access to a very limited CD and download, but sadly events intervened to stymie the reunion and planned vinyl release, much to the disappointment of their fans. Here at last is the long-awaited 'difficult first album' on double-vinyl from The March Violets!
