Born in Potsdam in 1784, Heinrich Baermann honed his skills under the tutelage of virtuoso clarinetist Josef Beer, who was a key figure in the development of the clarinet and it's repertoire. B Baermann went on to tour extensively and significantly impacted the clarinet's role in classical music, particularly in France.
