â? In The Fade (Aus dem Nichts) ist ein deutsches Drama aus dem Jahr 2017, bei dem Fatih Akin Regie führte. Die Hauptrolle spielt Diane Kruger als Katja Sekerci, eine deutsche Frau. Katjas Leben bricht zusammen, nachdem ihr Mann und ihr Sohn bei einem Bombenanschlag ums Leben gekommen sind. Nach einer Zeit der Trauer und Ungerechtigkeit sinnt Katja auf Rache. In the Fade wurde für den Wettbewerb um die Goldene Palme im Hauptwettbewerb der Filmfestspiele von Cannes 2017 ausgewählt, wo Kruger als beste Schauspielerin ausgezeichnet wurde. Der Film wurde auÃ?erdem mit dem Golden Globe Award für den besten fremdsprachigen Film ausgezeichnet.
Während der Originaltitel auf Englisch "Out of Nowhere" hei�t, ist der englische Titel dem gleichnamigen Song der amerikanischen Rockband Queens of the Stone Age entnommen, deren Leadsänger Joshua Homme die Filmmusik schrieb. Regisseur Fatih Akin ist ein Fan von Queens Of The Stone Age und wandte sich an Homme, um ihm zu sagen, dass er die Band hörte, als er das Drehbuch schrieb. Homme, der zu dieser Zeit das letzte Album der Band, Villains, abmischte, war von dem Vorschlag überrascht, stimmte aber zu und freute sich schlie�lich über die Chance, experimentellere Musik zu veröffentlichen. Joshua erkannte, dass Akin ihm die volle Kontrolle übertrug und ihm sogar sagte: "Ich mache mir keine Sorgen um die Musik. Ich wei�, dass sie gro�artig sein wird.'"
