â??A Box of Dreamsâ?? compiles highlights from the first half of Enyaâ??s storied career, spanning selections from her self-titled debut album (later reissued and expanded as â??The Celtsâ??) through to the single â??Only Ifâ?¦â?? which had just been released and featured on her first â??best ofâ?? â??Paint The Sky With Starsâ??.
â??A Box of Dreamsâ?? originally featured three thematically arranged discs, each of which is now split between three double-vinyl records:
- â??Oceansâ?? showcases the most uplifting moments from Enyaâ??s rich catalogue of work, starting with the #1 smash and instant classic â??Orinoco Flowâ?? and voyaging through other hits (including â??Anywhere Isâ??, â??Book of Daysâ?? and â??Caribbean Blueâ??) and fan favourites (such as â??The Longshipsâ??, â??Ebudaeâ?? and â??Pax Deorumâ??).
- â??Cloudsâ?? curates a selection of Enyaâ??s most beautifully beguiling instrumentals as well compositions in which her voice provides an ambient texture to the production, including the title tracks from â??Watermarkâ??, â??Shepherd Moonsâ?? and â??The Memory of Treesâ??.
- â??Starsâ?? features Enyaâ??s wondrously choral and meditative ballads, including the hit single â??Evening Fallsâ??, the hymnal â??Athair Ar Neamhâ?? and the evocative, yet relatively undiscovered â??Exileâ??.
