For 'III Sides To Every Story', Extreme dug into their influences and roots to produce a high-concept three-part album, Yours, Mine and the Truth. One of the most talented rock bands of the late 20th century, Extreme, created some of the more diverse rock albums from that era. Infusing their guitar driven hard rock with moments of funk, metal, lounge crooning, prog elements and even some rap on "Cupid's Dead", it was anything but standard and predictable. The guitar wizardry of Nuno Bettencourt and vocal dynamics of Gary Cherone were a perfect team with the rhythm section of Pat Badger on bass and Paul Geary on drums. 'III Sides To Every Story' is one of those odd albums that you can listen to today without feeling that it was recorded way back in the nineties.
