Das neue Album "Last" von Loma Prieta! Seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten haben sich Loma Prieta vor unseren Augen weiterentwickelt. Mit jeder VerÃ¶ffentlichung haben sie das Post-Punk-Subgenre zur hohen Kunst erhoben, ohne dabei das Herz in seinem Kern aufzugeben. Alles dient als kÃ¼nstlerische Reflektion fÃ¼r ihr persÃ¶nliches Wachstum inmitten der komplexen Welt, die uns alle umgibt. "Last" wurde von Ingenieur Jack Shirley in den Atomic Garden Studios (Deafheaven, Gouge Away) aufgenommen. Es besteht aus elf Songs, die inmitten der Turbulenzen entstanden sind, denen die Welt in den letzten Jahren ausgesetzt war. Die emotionale Spannung in jedem einzelnen Song ist spÃ¼rbar. Manchmal entfalten sie sich kontemplativ mit zarten Melodien, wÃ¤hrend sie an anderer Stelle mit klanglicher Gewalt explodieren. Sie alle geben der manischen Natur der modernen menschlichen Erfahrung eine Stimme. -

With each release, they have elevated the post-punk sub-genre to high art without abandoning the heart at it's core. All serving as an artistic reflection for their personal growth amid the complex world that surrounds us all. "Last" was recorded by engineer Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studios (Deafheaven, Gouge Away). It is comprised of eleven songs which took shape amid the turbulence the world has collectively faced over the last number of years. The emotional tension within each is palatable. At times, unfurling contemplatively with delicate melody while at others, exploding with sonic violence. All giving voice to the manic nature of the modern human experience.
