Description: | â?¢ Mel & Kimâ??s classic 1987 album â??F.L.M.â?? is reissued on a stunning ochre-coloured pressing. â?¢ Available on vinyl for the first time in over 30 years. â?¢ With rebuilt original artwork and a brand new 24-bit remaster from the original analogue tapes, this beautiful new edition is a fitting celebration of a defining pop album of the 80s. Originally certified silver and featuring three UK Top Ten hits â?? the #1 smash â??Respectableâ??, the club anthem â??Showing Outâ?? and the irresistible title cut â?? â??F.L.M.â?? is one of only two albums where every track boasts the songwriting and production talents of Stock Aitken Waterman (the other being Donna Summerâ??s â??Another Place and Timeâ??). In 1986, Cockney sisters Mel and Kim Appleby conquered clubs and charts worldwide with â??Showing Outâ??: a perfect pop hit now also acknowledged as the first-ever British house record. â??Respectableâ?? then became the very first SAW composition to top the UK charts. But in the summer of 1987, Mel was diagnosed with cancer and tragically passed away in January 1990, aged just 23. Later that year, Kim made her solo debut with the #2 smash â??Donâ??t Worryâ??, and a further string of hits followed. More recently, she has graced the stage for Letâ??s Rock and Rewind festivals, and teamed up with Midge Ure for the acclaimed BBC series â??Smashing Hits!â??. Following a hugely popular Singles Box Set, we are delighted to continue working with Kim to honour the Mel & Kim legacy. - OCHRE VINYL EDITIONMel & Kim's classic 1987 album 'F. L. M.
