 | | Description: | Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Patrik Linman has been part of the Finnish music scene since the early 80s - starting as singer in the band Action. While a lot of his work is in writing, producing and behind the scenes, his debut album - Linman 'Heaven Calls' made a strong mark on the scene when released back in 1992, and has since become a much sought-after collector's item, fetching big prices each time a copy surfaced. Now thanks to Patrik and producer Clas Holm, Linman 'Heaven Calls' is getting a full makeover. The album has been remastered by Clas, giving the songs more punch than the original recordings. As a special bonus, the first 500 units will come with a second disc of unreleased demos and recordings made by Patrik across the years, 2002-2016. The style of these songs matches the melodic rock brilliance of the album. JK Northrup has jumped in to remaster these new gems, while new artwork from Arnaud Leger updates the cover and contents. Patrick Linman started his musical path by being a bass player and singer in Finnish rock band Action in the early 80īs. After 3 years of music studies he went on to form hard rock band Not Yet in 1990. The band released one single in 1991. In 1992 he released his first solo album "Heaven Calls".One disk edition of the Melodic Rock reissue. Come sin a jewelcase with transparent tray for the CD"Heaven Calls" is an audio CD by Linman, released under the specialist label Melodic Rock Classic. Based on the available information, it can be classified as a melodic rock release that blends powerful guitars, expressive vocals and emotional, song-driven arrangements. The album title suggests a strong atmospheric and possibly spiritual or introspective theme, with songs that may explore hope, longing, loss and transcendence, wrapped in memorable hooks and soaring choruses typical of classic melodic rock.
Musically, listeners can expect a clear, song-oriented structure with a strong focus on melodies and harmonies rather than extreme heaviness. "Heaven Calls" is likely to appeal to fans who appreciate classic rock songcraft with modern production touches: anthemic refrains, guitar leads that underline the emotion of the tracks, and carefully arranged keyboards or background textures that give the songs depth. Whether played quietly on headphones or at higher volume on a home stereo, the CD format offers a stable, high-quality sound experience and remains a collectible physical medium for rock enthusiasts.
Linman, as presented on this release, stands for melodic rock with a focus on emotional expression and carefully crafted songwriting. Without referencing specific biographical details, which are not reliably available, this CD positions Linman as an artist whose strengths lie in melody, atmosphere and a classic rock sensibility brought into the present. The project showcases a coherent artistic vision: accessible enough for casual listeners, yet detailed and layered enough for genre fans who enjoy rediscovering nuances with each listen.
