"Peace...like A River (orange/red Smoke) (indies)" is a special edition Vinyl Maxi by the acclaimed American rock band Gov't Mule. Pressed in an eye-catching orange and red smoke color variant, this indie-exclusive release stands out both visually and sonically. The album showcases Gov't Mule's signature blend of southern rock, blues, and jam-band improvisation, delivering powerful guitar riffs, soulful vocals, and intricate rhythms that have defined their sound for decades. Known for their electrifying live performances and musical versatility, Gov't Mule has built a loyal fanbase worldwide since their formation in 1994 by Warren Haynes and Allen Woody of The Allman Brothers Band. Over the years, they have released numerous critically acclaimed albums such as "Dose," "Life Before Insanity," and "Shout!"?cementing their status as one of modern rock?s most respected acts. This vinyl release offers fans not only exceptional audio quality but also collectible value due to its limited-edition colored pressing.
I like this band and I really liked their new album. That's why I really wanted to get it into my music library on vinyl. And that's why I bought it in orange. But I was disappointed. No - the musical material is of excellent quality (performance, mixing, mastering). I'm upset about the quality of the discs themselves! There were a lot of clicks at once, the needle jumped over the tracks on both discs very often. Two thorough washes helped to get rid of needle jumps through the tracks, as well as to remove some of the clicks. But still the clicks remained, and on the third side the clicks are just terrible. Upon careful inspection, radial stripes are visible on this side of the disc, closer to the apple (either scratches or a mass defect). A huge disappointment.
As for the printing industry, the design of the envelope is great. The pictures are clear, the colors are bright - 5 stars.
There are 5 stars for sound and printing, and only 2 for the quality of the discs.
