Lucifer Was were formed in Oslo in 1969/70 by drummer Kai Frilseth, and was coming out of a great norwegian prog scene that also included bands like HÃ¸st, Aunt Mary, Ruphus and Junipher Greene. Lucifer Was were considered to be one of the heavy prog bands from those days. The band has established a bit of a cult following most all over the world. Lucifer Was, a heavy retro progressive unit, sometimes metallic and symphonic, with their own trademarks, especially the flutes, and the often doomy, heavy guitar riffs combined with melodic strong vocals. The Crown Of Creation, their 5th album is now available on vinyl for the first time trough the reissue series Â«Norwegian AlbumclassicsÂ». It was recorded with Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and also include Jan Stigmer on violin and the virtuoso Michala Petri on flutes. Michala has actually recorded two albums with Keith Jarrett. -

Limited to 220 copies on translucent purple vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve with full colour inlay. Comes with a numbered card with photo of Thore Engen as token that the buyer was part of the crowdfunding of the album in the «Norske Albumklassikere på LP»-series.
