Voices In My Head is an album by Back Porchestra, released in 2023. The album is a speed/thrash/death metal LP. -

The CD version of this album made the Top 100 Albums of 2022 list at Alt. Country Specialty Chart. It's original and vintage Roots Rock, Americana, Country Blues, Cajun and Western Swing with rich acoustic tones... a compact Shelter-in-Place-inspired outfit befitting the newfound minimalism of the times... back to the basics... Formed in the locked-down summer of 2020, they have conducted many shows along the West Coast as well as a recent foray into the Big-Pink-style living room facilities of Globe Records. The band draws from new originals as well as reworked vintage classics by Hank Williams, Taj Mahal, Dan Hicks, Big Bill Broonzy, Bob Wills, Bobby Charles. Back pOrchEstra is Tim Eschliman (Etta James, Commander Cody, New Copasetics) vocals & resonator guuitar, Bowen Brown (John Lee Hooker, Tommy Castro, Rhythmtown-Jive) drums, Candy Girard (Delaney Bramlet, Tanya Tucker, Clint Black and with Jerry Garcia) on violin, Beau Bradbury (Beaullieu) (California Honeydrops, Gator Beat) bass

Recently-formed west coast roots rock outfit with rich acoustic tones, utilizing some stellar but lately idle players. This group may well have not ever come together were it not for the pandemic. Back pOrchEstra is a Shelter-in-Place-inspired musical outfit ...a small Singer-Songwriter combo befitting the newfound minimalism of the times... going back to the basics... dishing out new original material and yet also some historic American Roots heirloom selections. Formed for the first time in the locked-down summer of 2020, it started out as a back porch thing, just guitar & drums..since it was too hard to assemble bands at the time.. and when the 3rd person, a violinist, was added, it was jokingly called a back porch orchestra...then it kept growing as the pandemic allowed...to the point where the name actually became appropriate. They have since conducted many live shows and live streaming episodes as well as a recent foray into the Big-Pink-style living room recording facilities of Globe Records (as featured in the recent New Copasetics release) Back pOrchEstra is Tim Eschliman (Etta James, Commander Cody, New Copasetics), Bowen Brown (John Lee Hooker, Tommy Castro, Rhythmtown-Jive), Candy Girard (Tanya Tucker, Clint Black and Jerry Garcia), Beau Beaullieu (California Honeydrops) and Jackson Allen (Narada). The album, "Voices in my Head," has songs from all over the map... originals with 60s, 80s and 1920s roots, plus Roots Rock, Americana, country blues, Western Swing, Cajun, and New Orleans music... reworked classics by Hank Williams, Dan Hicks, Big Bill Broonzy, Bob Wills, Bobby Charles and Taj Mahal. Also appearing are Austin deLone (piano, Eggs Over Easy, Fab Thunderbirds), Jack Ohara (backing vocals, Eggs Over Easy), Vicki Randle (percussion, Dr. John, Mavis Staples, the Tonight Show Band) and Kathy Kennedy (backing vocals, Big Bang Beat).
