 | Description: | DIAMOND DOGS new record â?About The Hardest Nut To Crackâ? was recorded live. 12 brilliant tracks, all mixed/produced/written and arranged from scratch at Strawberry Studios over eight days in the early spring of 2023. It's a hell of a statement!
Diamond Dogs have been releasing top-notch rock albums since the early â??90s, and their ability to knock out gem after gem of timeless rock & roll still astonishes. No one does Mott The Hoople meets The Faces better. No one does rockâ??nâ??roll rapture quite like the Diamond Dogs do these days.
Strawberry Studios only takes on bands they like, due to their exclusive environments and uniqueness in the business. Diamond Dogs and engineer Sven Lindvall has been a perfect match.
The albumcover is handmade by the phenomenal New York painter, artist and blues guitarist Brian Kramer.
Throughout the years Diamond Dogsâ?? members have also been serving as members in bands/with artists such as Johnny Thunders, Ian Hunter, The Hellacopters, Quireboys, KSMB, Electric Boys, Glenn Hughes, The Solution, Nationalteatern, Wilmer X, Dogs Dâ??amour, Michael Schenker, Eldkvarn, Glen Matlock, The Facer, UK Subs, to name a few.
Diamond Dogs have been on tour with Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) two times. Two times on tour with The Damned. Two times on tour with Hanoi Rocks. On tours with Sensational Alex Harvey Band, The Nazareth, and been special guest on concerts with The Cult and Iggy Pop.
Diamond Dogs have toured Great Britain countless of times (over 300 gigs) and played all the premium rock venues, including Camden Palace, Electric Ballroom, Nottingham Rock City, Manchester Academy 2, Glasgow Cathouse and The Ferry, Bristol Bierkeller, Camden Underworld, Baths Hall, Utility Newcastle Arena and the O2 Academy, Holmfirth Picturedrome, London Borderline, JBâ??s Dudley, Sheffield Boardwalk, Hard Rock Cafe in London and Manchester, The Winter Garden in Cleethorpes and Blackpool, and many more.
Nowadays the music press in England speaks about the Diamond Dogs as sounding more British than the British themselves. // â?We played with The Faces many times, and believe me, Rod and the lads had both good and bad nights up there, but The Diamond Dogs really are like The Faces on one of those brilliant nightsâ?
/ Dan McCafferty, Nazareth
â?So somedamnbody has to keep the rawk alive, and the Diamond Dogs have consistently done it better than nearly anyone in the past couple of decadesâ?
/ Captain Sensible, The Damned
â?Comparing our bandâ??s history, the Diamond Dogs biography will be like the â?Lord of The Ringsâ? trilogy, while the Hellacopters story would turn out more like a thin leafletâ?
/ Nicke Andersson, The Hellacopters
â?Hey Sulo, whereâ??s my royalties!?â?
/ Ian Hunter, Mott The Hoople
â?Diamond Dogs, straight outta 1973, but wears it wellâ?
/ Jamie Stewart, The Cult
â?Swedenâ??s Diamond Dogs are one of the coolest bands on earthâ?
/ Wilko Johnson, Dr Feelgood
â?Diamond Dogs have created the perfect time capsule. Just pressing play conjures up the spirits of the 70's glam rock era, including Bowie and T. Rex, Elton, Faces and the Stones. The boogie piano, the whiskey soaked vocals, the delightfully sleazy overall feel of these songs. The dudes sound like they're having more fun than you could believe, itâ??s honestly hard to imagine listening to this album with anything less than a grin on your face. If you love 70's era glam rock, you need to grab a drink, grab your friend, and join the Diamond Dogs' partyâ?
/ Paul Young
â?Swedenâ??s Diamond Dogs are fantastic. I canâ??t put it in simpler terms than thatâ?
/ Brian Robertson, Thin Lizzy
