On November 10th and 11th, 2011, MGMT performed two 45 minute sets of original music, composed specially for the Maurizio Cattelan retrospective (edit was it a retrospective?) show at the Solomon R. Guggenheim museum in Manhattan. We are pleased to announce the official release of this never-before-released recording, on November 11, 2022, eleven years later. The 24 track soundboard recording of the 11-11-11 performance has been recently mixed by MGMT and Dave Fridmann. Showcasing the band in a loose, hypnotic, and psychedelic form, and coming just after the release of the now cult classic second MGMT LP â??Congratulationsâ?, â??11â?¢11â?¢11â? is sure to be a treat for all dedicated MGMT listeners. 11.11.11 by Mgmt, released 15 February 2024, includes the following tracks: "Whistling Through The Graveyard", "Tell It To Me Like It Is", "Unfriend", "Interlude" and more.
