With all the touchstones of Burgessâ??s finest work - breezy grooves, undulating synths, funk-drenched bass and life-affirming lyrics - delivered with gospel-derived vocals and harmonies - itâ??s a record to uplift both body and spirit. - The current use of the concept BOOGIE includes the amalgamation of funk and disco, with a midtempo to uptempo shuffle and groove.
